Eyes on the Universe

Scientists know alot about the Universe but there is also alot they don't know. This workshop will help you find out how scientists learn about the Universe, what is in the Milky Way, which is our own galaxy and what is beyond the Milky Way. We will be doing some make and take activities as well as finding out how we can see or maybe not see deep sky objects such as black holes!   

Please note that the workshop is for children only. We actively encourage adults to leave their children with us unless they require one to one support.

SPECIAL OFFER:  Please note that the cost of the workshop is for the workshop only. If you would like to visit the Centre either after or before the workshop then you will have to purchase an entrance ticket. However, we are offering a special discounted rate of just £6 pp if admission to the Centre is purchased at the time of pre-booking a workshop (not including twilight workshops). This special offer admission applies to any adults who are dropping off children booked onto a workshop and who wish to stay in the Centre and any children within the same group that are not attending the workshop but wish to stay in the Centre (up to a reasonable limit).

FOR EXAMPLE: if the booking is for 1 child attending a workshop and staying in the Centre after the workshop, 1 child not attending the workshop and 1 adult, then you pay:

£12.75 for the workshop + £6 to stay in the Centre after the workshop = £18.75.
£6 for the adult
£6 for the extra child not attending the workshop   

This discount only applies if pre-booked AT THE SAME TIME AS BOOKING THE WORKSHOP.
