Join us for our first meteor shower event of the season. this late evening event includes a fascinating talk followed by stargazing through our historic telescopes (weather permitting).
Join us for our first meteor shower event of the season. The Lyrids meteor shower, which peaks towards the end of April, is one of the oldest known meteor showers. The Lyrids have been observed for 2,700 years.
The gates open at 8pm with a fascinating talk by our resident astronomer at 8:30pm. (Title TBC)
Following the talk, the event is free flowing. Our dedicated volunteers will be on hand to guide you through the night’s sky with our historic telescopes (weather permitting) and answer all your questions.
Our cafe will be open during the evening so you can purchase refreshments including local beer from Lakedown Brewing Co.
The event finishes at Midnight.
£30 per person.
