The Astronomy Festival returns on Friday 28th August until Sunday 30th August 2026.

For our 22nd Festival, we’re excited to share all the Observatory has to offer, from day to night. With camping, kid’s activities, planetarium shows, astronomy societies, trade stalls, guest speakers and of course (weather permitting) plenty of stargazing!

You can find information on all our festival passes below. Please check your choice of pass and which date(s) you have selected before you check out.

Solar Pass – A standard day pass with access to all our exhibits as well as telescopes tours and trade stands. No additional activities. Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. £13.00.

Solar Flare Pass – A standard day pass PLUS extra activities such as children’s crafts, a planetarium show and more! Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. £18.00.

Moon Pass – Access to everything during the evening, including live music, Newton’s Bar, stargazing and more! Available for Friday and Saturday evenings. 6:30pm-11pm. £18.00.

Eclipse Pass – Full weekend access to everything (day and evening) including extra activities. (Friday to Sunday) No camping pitch. £50.00.

Total Eclipse Pass – The ultimate experience… Full weekend access to everything (day and evening) including extra activities and a camping pitch. (Friday to Sunday). £95.00. Please look at our campsite map, and let us know which camping pitch you would like.

Please note, Passes do not include lecture tickets or products/services from trade stands.
