Children's Workshops

Bringing Science and Creativity to Life!

Holiday fun for children aged 6-9 years and 10-13 years. In addition to our daily activities, during the local school holidays we also offer fantastic workshops for children which are a great way to have fun and learn at the same time. They are fully interactive; children are totally immersed in carrying out experiments or making and creating (depending on the type of workshop). Many of the workshops involve an element of 'Make and Take' projects when the children are able to take what they have made home.

Specific workshops are aimed at age groups 6-9 years and 10-13 years. Please check the intended age group of your chosen workshop because we cannot accept children outside of the specified age range.

For further information about dropping off and picking up your children please see Notes for Parents and Guardians.

While we do our best to include all the activities mentioned in the descriptions below, some activities may vary on the day. We recommend warm, practical clothing and sensible footwear for all the workshops.

For dates, times and the cost of each workshop please see the details below the following descriptions. Please note that the cost of the workshop is for the workshop only. If you would like to visit the Centre either after or before the workshop then you will have to purchase an entrance ticket.

Booking is essential for all workshops
We are in the process of planning an exciting line-up for 2016 so please do come back to this page and check periodically for further updates - see provisional programme below the photographs.
