Sparkling Stars

This unforgettable experience in partnership with Henners Vineyard  and Herstmonceux Castle includes a glass of Henners English sparkling wine on arrival, plus a mini wine tasting session. The evening begins at the castle where you will receive your arrival drink. The mini tasting session will take place in the Castle Pub – a gorgeous atmospheric space inside the castle. Following this, we move over to the Observatory where our astronomy team will guide your through the stars with a unique planetarium experience. The evening will conclude with stargazing through our historic telescopes (weather permitting) If the weather is poor, there will be the opportunity to chat to astronomy experts – and ask all your questions about space, astronomy and the history of our incredible telescopes.

Booking Essential

• The event begins at Herstmonceux Castle at 7.00pm where you will be greeted and directed to the Castle Pub.
• If you would like to purchase additional wine from Henners, the wines you’ve tasted will be available to purchase in the Castle Pub.
• The Observatory Cafe will be open to purchase hot drinks, soft drinks and food.
• If the weather is not suitable to look through the telescopes (cloudy, rainy, foggy or if the wind is too strong), we do not cancel Stargazing Events.  Instead there will be opportunities to chat to astronomy experts.
• Don’t forget to wear warm clothing – you will be outside for much of the evening!
• Did you know? Using red rather than white light torches means your eyes are better adapted to see in the dark.  Our site is lit up with red lights during stargazing evenings. You can purchase a red light torch online or download an app such as NightVision Light in the Apple App Store.
• Tickets are non refundable.
