The Observatory Science Centre is set within the Herstmonceux Castle Estate, home of Bader International Study Centre, Queen's University (Canada).
If you wish to visit The Observatory Science Centre and The Gardens & Grounds of Herstmonceux Castle, you can purchase Joint Admission tickets from both attractions.
Please note that The Gardens & Grounds have a shorter operating season than The Observatory Science Centre.
Admission to The Gardens & Grounds alone is via a separate entry ticket which must be purchased from the castle entrance kiosk.
The Castle operates as an International Study Centre and is not freely open to the public, however organised tours are conducted at an extra charge and subject to availability:please refer to their website for times and prices Gardens & Grounds of Herstmonceux Castle

For 9 working days East Sussex Highways are carrying out patching works on Wartling Road which will be closed to through traffic 7 am – 7 pm, but will be allowing access to both The Observatory Science Centre and Herstmonceux Castle Gardens & Grounds. Evening / night access is unaffected and there will be no weekend working.
The Observatory Science Centre and Herstmonceux Gardens & Grounds will be open as normal and we will provide updates as necessary.
