Membership

We are delighted to offer membership to The Observatory Science Centre.

The benefits:
- Unlimited access for twelve months whenever normal admission prices apply, inlcuding Open Evenings and The Astronomy Festival.
- Free complimentary voucher to bring a friend on one visit.
- Personal photo ID membership pass.
- Advanced notification of unpublished events and activities.
- From time to time we may make a 'special offer' to our members; e.g. 'book 2 for the price of 1' on a workshop etc.
- Regular news updates via email.

We are a registered charity (No: 298542) and if you are a UK tax payer, we can process your membership fee through Gift Aid.

You can take out membership at The Centre whenever we are open, or print off the Membership Application Form and post to us with your payment. 

For the ID pass we require a clear head photo of each person, approximately passport sized.  You can email a photo to us and we will resize it to fit.

Science Projects Ltd is a registered charity No. 298542 and one way in which you can support The Centre is through Gift Aid.

If you are a UK tax payer the FULL membership payment can be GiftAided at NO extra cost to you; but the government will give us 25% in addition to the amount you have paid.

For example:
Adult membership £45
Through Gift Aid The Centre will receive £56.25

That makes a massive difference and will contribute to help us maintain and develop this unique centre.

Any information given on the Gift Aid form will remain confidential and will never be passed to any organisation other than the Inland Revenue.

• We are unable to process and issue your membership pass card without a passport size photograph. (please ensure it shows your face clearly and that your name is written on the reverse side)
• Your membership will expire twelve months from the date we receive your membership application, not from the date you supply your photograph. Delayed commencement is non-negotiable
• Replacement membership cards will only be issued on receipt of a newly completed application form together with a replacement photograph
• Membership cards are not transferable.  Any change of address (or other contact information e.g. email) must be notified in writing
• All memberships are for a set twelve month period.  There are no short term memberships or pro-rata refunds should you wish to terminate your membership prior to the printed expiry date
• If you provide your email address we are able to keep you up to date with the latest events unpublished in our  brochure and also any special offers.  We will also email news updates, but you can request to be removed from this at any time. We can assure you that no personal information including email is passed to any third party
• Admission to The Centre and use of the facilities are subject to the published last admission and closing times
• If we are forced to close due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret memberships cannot be extended or monies refunded
• The Observatory Science Centre reserves the right to refuse admission and revoke membership of any person failing to abide by these terms and conditions
• The Observatory Science Centre accepts no liability for the personal safety of members visiting the site. Children must be accompanied and supervised at all times
• Members are responsible at all times for their own safety and their personal belongings
