Daytime groups

The Observatory Science Centre is an ideal venue for a coach outing, group meeting place, astronomy societies, summer play scheme etc.  All ages and abilities will find something to entertain and educate, from the wide range of fun hands-on exhibits indoors and out, the historic telescopes, and exhibition ‘Domes of Discovery’ and our amazing science shows!  Science learning is not just for the young, but also for the young at heart – we aim to put the ‘fun’ back into ‘science’ for everyone!

Groups and societies with a particular affiliation to astronomy or engineering may like to book a private tour.  There are 6 domes at the centre, 3 of which are not normally open, but you will be taken to these on your tour (time permitting).  There is a small additional charge for this of just 90 pence pp.
